The inaugural Games Industry Analytics Forum event was hosted on January 29th in London and supported by TIGA. It was a great success, with over 50 games industry enthusiasts in attendance. The purpose of the forums is to provide an informal environment for analytics experts, advocates and the just plain curious within the Games indsutry to share experiences, understand and develop best practices to advocate the use of analytics in F2P games development throughout the Games Industry.
The Forum's first speakers were Stan beremski, Product Lead at Natural Motion, who discussed 'Common Mistakes When Looking At Freemium Metrics' and Vince Darley, Director of BI and Analytics at King.com presenting 'What Analytics in The Games Industry has to learn from other Sectors' as well as GamesAnalytics' very own Mark Robinson. Presentations can be viewed here.
In the future GIAF aims to not only explore topics of interest via key note speakers and presentations, but also to serve as an opportunity for networking among the growing community of games analytics practitioners.
