GamesAnalytics Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us and important to our industry.  We have an obligation to comply with EU legislation on data protection and data security, and also the US Safe Harbor framework.  We also believe that using data in good faith is fundamental to our reputation as a provider of analytics and marketing services to the Games industry.

There are two aspects to our Privacy Policy.

  • How we may use data you provide to us through this Website, and
  • How we may use the data we collect when you use applications or play games which use GamesAnalytics technology or services.

In the second case, our clients (games publishers and developers primarily) are providing user information to us so there are responsibility incumbent on our clients.  However we wanted to outline to end consumers how we, in turn, use and share that information.  In reality our clients and ourselves will abide by the same good practices.

This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, protected, used and disclosed by us through our Website and GamesAnalytics technology and serviecs.

Our Privacy Policy will be updated from time to time.  Should our privacy practices change, we will post the policy changes on the Website and indicate the date the Privacy Policy was last updated.

You can visit and browse the GamesAnalytics Website without providing any information about yourself.  You may voluntarily provide personal information, such as contact information or we may ask for such information in various forms on this Website, including requests for product or service information.

We may use your email address or other contact information you give us to contact you with product or service information.  If we ask for your preferences (e.g. in relation to our services), we will only use that information to tailor our communications to you. GamesAnalytics Technology and Services

When you download, pay for or play a game or use an application which uses the GamesAnalytics Technology and Services, the privacy policy that applies is the one between you and the game or application publisher, developer or provider (“Publisher”).  In order to offer the GamesAnalytics Technology and Services to Publishers, we require that they obtain permission from you to share certain information with us.  This information may be “personal” information, such as your name, address, contact details and social network user information (“Personal Data”). Information collected may also be non-personal information, such as your gameplay habits and preferences, game platforms and media, geographic location, gender and age (“User Data”).

We do not require access to sensitive personal information, such as medical or health information; racial or ethnic origin; political opinions; religious or philosophical beliefs; sexual orientation.

How We Use your Information

We use User Data make the GamesAnalytics Technology and Services and its features available to our Publishers, which includes allowing Publishers to customise your online experience to your preferences. We may use User Data to enhance the GamesAnalytics Technology and Services. We may compare and review your personal information for errors, omissions and for accuracy. We do not use Personal Data for our own purposes; we use Personal Data solely to facilitate our Publishers in using the GamesAnalytics Technology and Services. We use User Data in aggregate form (such that users are not personally identifiable) for our business, research, product development and marketing purposes.

How We Share your Information

We do not share our data, including personal information about you, to any third parties with the following exceptions:

  • any information or data in response to a verified request by law enforcement, immigration, customs or other government officials relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity.
  • User Data for product development, marketing or public relations – information shared is limited to aggregated statistical data.
  • any information or data with our hosting provider who may only use the information to administer our Website and the GamesAnalytics Technology and Services. The hosting provider is required to keep all information private and secure
  • GamesAnalytics may share any information in connection with any merger, sale of GamesAnalytics’s assets, or a financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another entity.

How to Edit Your Information

You may ask us to delete any personal information you have provided directly to us at any time.  We do retain the right to use the aggregate data we have collected, provided that such data does not personally identify you. You may also contact your game/application provider to edit or delete information held about you.  When we receive a request from a Publisher to amend or delete Personal Information, we shall promptly do so.
